What's New For the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro?
Ever since the old Corvair and Corsa models were transformed into the Camaro back in the late 60s, muscle car enthusiasts have been thrilled with the design, horsepower, and driving experience this model offers. Over the years, the outward appearance has continued to mutate, and the interior layout has been tweaked a few times as well.
For 2020, the significant points of interest remain the same, however. There's the choice of V6 or V8 engine power, the sleek contours that set this coupe apart from the rest, and the engaging experience when tackling the high-speed turns. New for 2020 is the introduction of the LT1 trim with its powerful engine, and some of the optional features have been shuffled across most of the trim levels.

Which Trims & Features are Available in 2020?
The 2020 Camaro is available either as a four-seat coupe or convertible. The lower trims, designated as 1LS, 1LT, and 2LT, come with 18-inch alloy wheels. Features include LED running lights, cruise control, and an eight-way power driver's seat. The front-passenger seat is also power-adjustable. These trims have a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the 2LT gets full leather upholstery. All trims have Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. A 7-inch screen display is also standard. These lower trims are equipped with a six-speaker stereo system.
The uplevel trims, designated as 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1, add additional interior features, including the Technology package. This package comes with a Bose stereo system as well as a larger screen display with additional connectivity features. The RS package is worth looking into. Buyers choosing this package get 20-inch wheels, a unique grille design, and a rear decklid spoiler. This package is also available at an extra cost on the lower trims. The 1SS and 2SS trims get the spoiler as standard equipment, and the 8-inch screen display is also standard.
A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency
Although the base engine on the 2020 Camaro is a four-cylinder, it may be all the horsepower needed to satisfy the majority of buyers. It's turbocharged and produces a total of 275 horsepower. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual, but the buyer can choose an automatic transmission. The eight-speed automatic transmission is available on most trims, and a 10-speed automatic is another option.
The V6, with its 335 horsepower, is optional on the lower trims. The LT1 and SS trim comes with a V8 engine as standard. The LT1 has a 6.2L V8 rated at 455 horsepower. The SS models get an upgraded version of this engine, and the ZL1 boasts a supercharged V8 that pumps out an impressive 650 horsepower. This special model gets the manual transmission as standard, but the automatic transmission is optional. The ZL1 also comes with launch control.
Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020
Every 2020 Camaro comes with a full set of airbags, stability and traction control, and OnStar connected services. All but the base trim have a remote engine start. The Convenience and Lighting package, available on the 3LT and above trims, includes a head-up display, rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, and a blind-spot monitoring system. The uplevel trims also have a special rear camera mirror that displays on the rearview mirror.
