2021 Chevrolet Silverado

What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado?

In 2021, the Chevy Silverado 1500 has even more impressive trailering and towing credentials than before. The 1500 now comes with a new Multi-Flex tailgate, available on all trims, with more power-operated features to make your workday and weekend getaways easier. The tailgate also provides faster access to cargo, and it gives you a versatile standing workstation. The trunk has a maximum weight load of 375 pounds, and it is available for use with a key fob or automatic push-button for the gate located on the tailgate. The Silverado also has a Durabed this year with LED lights, a separate 120V power charging outlet, tie-downs, and generous cargo space. This year the list of available cargo beds has changed to provide two cargo beds instead of three. With Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now standard, this year's Silverado is the most tech-savvy yet.

What Features Are Available for 2021?

The 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 is produced in eight trim levels. The first in the series is the Work Truck. This trim has the new tailgate offered as an available feature. It comes standard with the same seven-inch infotainment display from 2020, but now you get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in addition to Bluetooth, which was previously standard. LED lights are now standard across the board. The Silverado also provides even better value in 2021 with more standard features at nearly all trim levels. The second trim for the 2021 Silverado 1500 is the Custom Trail Boss. Heated mirrors and power-operated mirrors are added to this trim level. It also gets additional safety aids and off-road suspension.

The LT is the next in line with an upgraded mechanical system. It also has a slightly larger eight-inch display screen than the standard seven-inch display on the base trim. The RST has a power-releasing tailgate mechanism and LED lights in the cargo area. The LT Trail Boss adds four-wheel drive and an off-road suspension. A more luxurious interior is in store with the LTZ, which has an upgraded backup camera and two 120V power outlets, including one in the cargo bed. Leather seats are added to this trim, while the High Country gets a seven-speaker Bose, ventilated front seating, and heated seats in the back row.

Silverado has heavy-duty variants: 2500 HD and 3500 HD that offer more powerful payload and hauling options.
