Corvette EV Officially In The Works

It's been announced that Corvette is going to put out an all-electric, AWD Corvette. People are expecting this vehicle to be ready sometime after 2023. Some have guessed that this could be near 2025.

Before then, GM is planning a hybrid vehicle that will be out sometime in 2023. The hybrid version of the Corvette will likely have some impressive stats considering it's meant to be one of the top vehicles from Corvette, and it's competing with some serious other cars.

For example, previous combustion vehicles include the Corvette Z06, which has well over 600 horsepower. This has made some people guess that the hybrid vehicle from Corvette is going to have nearly 1000 horsepower.

Corvette is still going to be putting out combustion vehicles as well, but they are simply now branching out to fully electric vehicles as well as hybrids. The new electrified vehicles are going to be using the Ultium platform for batteries since this is also already being used elsewhere.

Cadillac's Reputation

It's a big deal for Cadillac to move into the electric sphere to the degree that they have, given how popular this luxury brand is getting. People can now access all of the efficiency of the electric and hybrid models while at the same time benefitting from the high performance and luxury of the Cadillac. This brand has never been known to skimp on anything, including the total horsepower of its engine, its maneuverability, style, safety, technical options, and so on.

These days, they are also not skimping on the new eco-features of their vehicles either.

More Details

The rumor is that the new hybrid vehicle will be called the E-Ray, although this is certainly not confirmed yet. The only thing that experts have to go on these days is just what Cadillac and GM say themselves, the rumors swirling around, and the occasional video that the companies put out. These videos show, among other things, what appears to be a Cadillac with a combustion engine since you can hear it roaring.

That's why people think that this may be an example of the beginning prototype of the hybrid vehicle that is due out from Cadillac in around 2023.
