The Silverado EV ZR2 Tackles The Mint 400

Chevrolet has built some of the toughest pickups on the road for decades. The Silverado EV ZR2 concept recently entered the storied Mint 400 off-road contest. This electric contender conquered the punishing 73-mile loop, showing its strength on rugged ground. Chevy also ran its gasoline Silverado ZR2 and Colorado ZR2 race trucks at the event.

Remarkable Performance

The Silverado EV ZR2's three-motor electric drive cranks out an estimated 1,100 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque. It offers rapid acceleration and impressive towing potential. Upon completing the Mint 400, the EV ZR2 still registered 40 percent battery charge.

Off-Road Upgrades from the Factory

Chevrolet equipped the Silverado EV ZR2 concept with off-road-ready hardware. It features Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers for over 13 inches of travel, locking differentials for added traction, underbody skid plating, 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 Mud Terrain tires, and a lifted suspension for maximum clearance.

2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss Launch

This summer, Chevrolet will launch the Silverado EV Trail Boss. This off-road edition includes a factory-installed lift, red tow hooks, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and an exclusive Terrain Mode, allowing for uncompromised electric off-roading.
