Chevy Colorado is Impressive No Matter Which Trim Level You Choose

There are five Colorado trim models: the Base, Work Truck or WT, LT, Z71, and ZR2. The Colorado Base truck gives you all the modern basics, from air-conditioning to power windows. It's also pretty tech-savvy, with standard features that include the new Infotainment 3 system, two USB ports, and smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Upgrade to the WT for some extra options. This trim level lets you choose between the extended and crew cabins, the latter of which offers extra backseat legroom. This truck trim also has a more modern vibe, with carpeting and cloth upholstery.

Choose the LT for additional tech features, including more USB ports and an 8-inch central touchscreen. This truck also puts a lot of luxury features on offer, including heated front seats and automatic climate control. Also optional are the lane departure and forward collision warning systems, both of which are designed to help you avoid a costly accident.

To enjoy extra off-road potential, check out the Colorado Z71. This truck comes standard with more sporty gear, including an off-road-ready suspension and all-terrain tires. Inside, you'll find unique seating upholstery to set the Z71 apart from other trim levels.

At the top of the heap, there's the Colorado ZR2. This Chevy truck is even more off-road-ready, adding a raised suspension with adventure-ready dampers and even bigger all-terrain tires. The ZR2's front and rear bumpers are designed to improve approach and departure angles, making this truck easier to maneuver on rugged terrain.

2020 Chevy Colorado Power & Performance

2020 Chevy Colorado The Colorado Base and WT trim models come standard with the 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine. It's good for 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission that powers the rear wheels. For the WT, shoppers can choose the optional six-speed automatic transmission. And, when you choose the WT trim or higher, you can choose between two optional engines. The first is a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 308 horses and 275 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The other option is a 2.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, which gives you 181 horses and 369 pound-feet of torque. It uses a six-speed automatic to send power to the rear wheels.

Chevy Colorado Safety In the Forefront

2020 Chevy Colorado This midsize truck was built to keep you safe. In addition to airbags and antilock brakes, Colorado offers an abundance of safety aids to help you spot oncoming danger. Every Colorado trim comes standard with a rearview camera, making it that much easier to back out of a parking space. The LT and up come with forward collision and lane departure warning systems, both of which alert you to a dangerous situation. And Chevy OnStar telematics system is optional for the Work Truck and standard on higher trims. OnStar includes features like automatic emergency notification and stolen vehicle tracking - things that come in handy when disaster strikes.
